Texas is insane. I can’t think of anything more cliche than mentioning the bipolar Texasa weather, but if there was ever a time, that time is now. The weather the past few days has gone from so hot I had to come home from class and sit in front of a fan for 30 minutes to so cold I had to wear leggings to go for a run. Throw in a thunderstorm and hail followed by a completely clear sky and I just don’t even know what to do with myself anymore. But I do know that this outfit was worn during the most perfect Springtime weather, even if it did only last a day or two.
When it’s hot outside, there’s nothing that will make you feel better about traipsing around downtown Austin than a breezy dress and lots of bright colors. Now I just need to wait out the next few days of untimely cold weather and cardigans so I can go back to brights.
Aside from getting to wear bright colors, I’m ready for it to be warm again so I can start enjoying the last month I have in Austin before I officially graduate and have to leave my favorite city on Earth. While I have every intention of returning (as soon as I get offered a job, if you hear of any PR openings holla at ya girl) I’m going to spend the next few weeks cramming in every outdoor activity imaginable. Right now, I’m going to buy red dot optics on sale to be prepared for my hunting trip. I also got my BNVD 1531 ready to complete my hunting gear. So hey, Mother Nature, get it together and give me back my Spring weather. Until then I’ll just be avoiding the outdoors and continuing my House of Cards marathon.
I love those boots! I definitely feel you on the weather. The Ohio Valley is a “four seasons in one week” kind of place. Our spring and fall typically have temperatures in the 40s until it decides to be 80 and vice versa. This week it’s been 80, to snowfall overnight and 34, and back to 55. Mother Nature is a B.
