I think you’re ready to hear a story about a girl… a girl named Kristin. A girl named Kristin that loved Nordstrom very much. I’m referring to myself. When I say Kristin, it’s me Kristin. (Please please please tell me y’all have seen Bridesmaids and understand this reference)

ANYWAY. I’ve been in love with Nordstrom since I was 12 years old and my Grandmommy took me to buy my very first pair of shoes from the magnificent, shining beacon that is the Nordstrom shoe department. They were teal, patent leather Seychelles flats that I still own and wear to this day.

In school, one of the requirements of my degree plan was to maintain a public relations internship for course credit. Although I had several internships during my undergrad experience, I didn’t have enough hours to actually use one for course credit until the summer after my junior year. But instead of getting the internship I needed to fulfill this degree requirement, what did I do? I went and got an internship at Nordstrom that was completely unrelated to PR in any way, shape or form. Because I love Nordstrom that much.

So now to the point of this whole backstory. Although I did end up getting a PR internship at an amazing company – shout out to Cultivate PR in Austin – and will be graduating from UT with a public relations degree NEXT WEEKEND (time flies), I left my heart at Nordstrom last summer. So guess what? I have decided to start a full-time career there!

For all of you Dallas girls, I’ll be working in the Savvy/Topshop department at Northpark mall. So not only do I get to work for my favorite company, but I get to be back in the Big D with Katey! Just FYI she cried when I told her the news. Precious.

I’m so beyond excited to spend every hour of my work day doing what I love most – being around clothes and styling you all! The exciting news for you?! The day I start (May 21st) is the first day of the Women’s Half-Yearly Sale. Which means I’ll be there to dress you up in amazing clothes that aren’t going to break the bank.
