Dope

This tee has been on repeat on Chronicles of Frivolity, with Kristin rocking it a few months back, and I couldn’t resist. Style Lately to the rescue once again.
With fall approaching most of us think, “Okay let’s pile on a gray sweater on top of black leggings and a camel scarf.” The one big ball of sweater look. You’ve. Got. To. Resist.
I’m guilty of that a lot but try to invest in neutral prints. This houndstooth skirt with snake bag are great staples to carry into cooler months. Pair the skirt with a turtle neck or knit sweater.
Pick more structured pieces and even short skirts [remember sixties for fall] you can always throw on a wool coat or thick tights to keep warm!
I’m also really into ladylike bags right now. While I have a soft spot for turning into an Olsen Twin with the temperatures drop and carrying a massive tote, there is something so chic about carrying this bag. You only need the basics and even if I’m leaving target I still look like I had a lunch meeting.
Any tricks you have for avoiding the “one big ball of sweater” look in fall?
