I have been filling a void on my couch the past year, and my bank account was suffering from it. I’d buy some inexpensive pillows, not be in love with them, donate them and buy some more. It was a cycle that embarrassingly enough happened at least once a month.
I had been following Little Design Company on Instagram for a few months and loved her work. I was a bit fed up with not loving my couch, so I messaged her a picture of my couch and said, “Fix me, please!” #sodramatic
Betsy is the nicest girl, ever! And her work is insane. Fashion designers and in-demand interior decorators are always ordering pillows from her, so I just told her to create whatever scheme she wanted.
We came up with a lot of fun designs to interchange throughout my apartment each season. I work from home and am always confined to my little 500 square feet, so updating little pieces here and there throughout seasons is helpful to staying inspired. All of her work is interchangeable and blends cohesively, so if you just want to update a lumbar pillow or one throw, it is fine!
I’ll be sharing different designs we worked out throughout the year, but wanted to share this look first! I wanted to add some more pink to my side chair and we did with the ikat pillow. Then I wanted lots of neutrals and a palm touch to bring out the painting above my couch this season.
I’ve probably had way too much fun playing around with my decor in this apartment, but knowing that this will probably be the last time I live alone has caused me to “go all out” in searching for beautiful pieces I fall in love with. Betsy’s pillows are just those pieces and even Paul has a soft spot for them. We were watching a show the other night and he said, “These are really nice, Katey. I think we should take them off the couch before we watch.” Haha! Of course her pillows are fine to lay on, I just was glad some of my OCD was rubbing off! 😉
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a great week! Betsy’s store is here in case you are interested!
But like srsly.
Where’s your area rug from?
Ha!
Love that palm leaf pillow–Has me dreaming of warmer weather!
haha that’s too funny about Paul wanting to keep the pillows nice and not ruin them by laying on them. I can’t wait to see how you decorate y’all’s first married home together! Also, I love that large flower painting over the couch
LOVE these pillows and your pineapple prints!
