I hope you all had a relaxing 3-day weekend! We spent the weekend tailgating at the TCU game and purchasing the first piece of furniture for the nursery! We ordered our glider and although I was a little surprised at how expensive they are, I can’t wait for it to get here! It will take until November because of the custom fabric, but I’m so ready to see it and prepare for long nights and sweet moments with our baby in it.
Yesterday we squeezed some work in while packing for fashion week. I still need to run today and pick up one last dress! One dress I am for sure packing in my suitcase for this week is this pink dress from Anthropologie! Be sure to go down a size. I purchased it in a size 2 so that I can wear it with a full bump, but for now it’s still pretty oversized! But the bell sleeves, hem and pink pop make it one of my favorite dresses in my closet. To make it a little bit more appropriate for fall, I added a plum lip and these cognac sandals by Sole Society! Anything with a chunky heel equals comfort and these are definitely easy to run around town in. If you don’t want to pull out booties just yet because you know you’ll get sick of them come January, these are perfect to pair with cut off denim and an off-the-shoulder sweater!
Also, I wanted to invite all my Texas girls to a fun event I’ll be hosting on September 15th!
I’ll be pulling my favorite fall looks from Cusp with a fashion presentation and I would love to meet you and a friend!
Now, one quick question I have for you! What are your favorite things to do in Brooklyn? I’ve been about 4 times, but I promised Paul I wouldn’t work one day during fashion week so we could just get lost and spend the day together without appointments or shows. I asked what he wanted to do and he requested Brooklyn! Unfortunately, all of my favorite spots are just girl shops haha! So if anyone has favorite spots to see or roam, I’d love to know. 🙂 Thank you so much!
I hope you have a wonderful rest of your short week! I’ll be sure to share some more chunky-heeled Sole Society options below as that is a huge fall trend this season!

This dress is so fun! Super jelly you’ll be in New York this week!! My sister lived in Brooklyn for 4 years and would ALWAYS take us to Sage on Graham Avenue. The Bedford area of Brooklyn is a really cool, trendy area and is so much fun to walk around and the Brooklyn Bridge is always cool to see!
Have SO much fun!! Baby H’s first Fashion Week!
Ah yes!!! I love this dress on you!
And I am so going to try to come to your NM FT Worth event! Would love to see you again!!!

Brooklyn is at the top of my list too! After going into the city a handful of times, I’ve only ever been as far as Brooklyn Bridge Park and have been wanting to explore more the next trip so I will be awaiting seeing where you go and what you do!
Two things you can’t miss:
1. Brooklyn Bridge Park at night. BBP has the best view of the skyline because it is directly across the water from Lower Manhattan. Stroll over the bridge at sundown and watch as the lights start to come on. The skyline at night as the air starts to cool is truly one of the most magical views/experiences.
2. Ample Hills Creamery. Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had! They have a storefront somewhere in Brooklyn but then also they have a small pop-up in Brooklyn Bridge Park. They have really inventive flavors that are super yummy. Get “The Munchies” – it has Ritz crackers, pretzels, M&Ms and some other fun stuff in it and I was nervous but it is so delicious!
What a darling pink dress! So many styling options 🙂

Take Paul for brunch at The Spotted Pig in the West Village – my husband loves it! (Order the burger if they have any left!) And even if you hate deviled eggs (like I do), order them – I actually will eat them here because they’re so good!

There are two things that have been on my Brooklyn to-do list forever – Brooklyn Farmacy, an old school soda shop- and Peter Pan Donuts, they make an ice cream sandwich with donuts!!!! Ah! Lol (granted, it’s one donut sliced in half but still…lol)
Have a great Fashion Week!
This dress is so adorable! I love the hot pink, and especially the bell sleeves! Two of my favorite things!
