I don’t like to use the term must lightly, so take me seriously when I say if you work in a more relaxed office, you must look into this dress! When I worked in an office I found it so difficult to find something I could wear for both work and play. Having what felt like two completely separate wardrobes led to me constantly shopping for both weekdays and weekends. But that’s never fun for your spare time or your wallet, so when you find an option for both you’ve hit gold. This is dress is under $50, runs true to size and comes in a few colors. I think the dusty pink would be stunning on someone with olive skin! I like that this is a silky texture and so soft, yet conservative in length for the right office or church. So many times affordable options are ridiculous short or run extremely small.

Now, let’s chat about BBG. I guess I’ve been doing it for about 4 weeks now if you could call it that. I’ll be blunt, it’s boring to me. But it works. In fact, it works better than any other workout I’ve ever tried. I’ve seen a huge difference in muscles I really didn’t know how to strengthen after giving birth. There’s a lot of talk about the price of BBG and yes the packet is more expensive. But honestly, it’s comparable to the price of a monthly membership to a workout class and I saw a difference in just 2 weeks. Sometimes I’ve tried workouts for months on end seeing little to no results. But back to how it isn’t 100% my jam. With BBG, you’re repeating the same set of workouts. I started to get bored and quit the workouts early just because I hated the repetition. I wanted to make sure I was getting in a full workout so I’ve been cheating…I’ll run 2 miles first and then just do 1 set of both workouts and call it a day. I’m personally happy with the results in the sense that I feel my body strengthening. But I MUCH prefer a spin class or barre class, however this just isn’t the season of life where I can sneak in a workout class. Overall, am I glad that I purchased it and do it? Yes. 100%. I like that I have this and can quickly create a workout at home. However, am I having a blast and immensely looking forward to it like I would a cycling class? No. 😉 But this is just week 4 so I’m thinking by week 12 I may enjoy it more! We shall see and I’ll definitely keep you updated! At the end of the day, I really like how I’ve modified it to incorporate my running then do the workout in half. I have a lot more fun with it that way and de-stress more than just doing the exact workout. But everyone is different, so BBG may be perfect for you just the way it is structured. Has anyone else modified BBG?!

I have done BBG and it is so much easier with a group of friends! You’ll feel accountable to one another, and being able to laugh makes the workout go by more quickly! I have to say BBG put me in the best shape of my life!

Love this look and modified BBG is my absolute favorite! My favorite workout is to go run 2-3 miles and then do two seven minute sets of one of the BBG workouts depending on what muscle group I feel like I need to work! It still exhausts me but I enjoy it more than just doing the full 28 minutes of BBG!

Ahhh yes, BBG is the one workout that i think actually works (if you stick with it). My freshmen year of college i gained about ten pounds and when i went into my sophomore year i knew i had to start living a healthier lifestyle. I purchased BBG round one and after completing the 12 weeks i lost the ten pounds i gained and then some! It is the one workout that i recommend to any of my friends who want to get on track with their fitness and health. I do agree that it is costly but i repeated the whole twelve weeks three different times so for me the price was reasonable because i got so much use out of it. Stick with it, Katey! You won’t regret it!

I’ve done BBG to the very end and I agree it can get boring! I just reminded myself why I started in the first place and the results were really great! I would also recommend doing it with friends like Ashley said, I did that and had a lot of fun struggling together haha. Now, since I’ve completed it I like to use some exercises from it in what I do now so that’s cool that I can keep using the program in new ways!

So glad to hear your thoughts on BBG! I’ve seen it blow up on social media for a couple years now, but like you, I didn’t think I was one for repetitive movements. I have the same type of workout philosophy: find a class I love and go to it often or find a workout that pushes me (i.e. running) that I want to get better at, thus forcing me to keep at it. I don’t think I’ll try BBG, but maybe I’ll search through the free versions on Pinterest if I just need a quick at-home workout and modify it as you did. Thanks, Katey!

I love how you put this into words! As I was typing this I really didn’t know how to convey how I just didn’t like it! And I like how running pushes you in the sense you have those numbers of miles in your head. Whereas this I’m just like, “This circuit is boring to me!” haha. But overall, I think the most important part of working out is finding something you enjoy- so I agree!

  7. Thank you for providing work wear. I work in a casual setting, but it is still a challenge. Working out a home is generally a bust no matter what the activity. I just purchased a Peloton bike and the only motivation is the live feed on the other end!

I’ve started and stopped BBG probably 4 times now! I always dreaded doing the circuits and thought they were boring so I would quit, and then I would see others’ great results, so I would start again. Finally I was just like, if you don’t like it, don’t keep trying to make it work for you. I’ve been writing my own workouts lately because I think it is fun to put them together and I love to see if I can challenge myself!

Hi Olivia! You’re a girl after my own heart!! I sit here and I’m like, “I need to do this. I need to do this.” And then my husband says, “Ummm or you could just do something you like!” haha! Great idea on writing your own workouts! I need to try that! xo
