Happy Monday, girlfriends! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. As Easter comes and goes, our wardrobe shifts a little bit. We add in a few more spring to summer options and sundresses. On Saturday after our post-egg-hunt family nap, we all went shopping to get some things for the warmer weather. I came home with these as they are so similar to the Chanel Espadrilles {Chanel ones are too wide for my heel, does anyone else have trouble with Chanel shoes?! I’ve purchased three pairs over the years and had to sell them all!} and these.

I pulled together what I have my eye on for spring and what I thought y’all may be interested in. These travel cases ALWAYS sell out so quickly so I wanted to include them as I found them in stock. And this pearl denim jacket saves you a little more money than the one I styled in this post.

This week is definitely going to be a quick one! My grandparents are in town from Atlanta and so I’ll be spending all day with them. I’ll pack us up tomorrow and then we leave for Houston in the middle of the week. My childhood best friend, Austin, gets married this weekend. We’ve got flower arrangements to help with and lots to celebrate. Have any of your little ones been very young flower girls or ring bearers?! I’d LOVE any tips you have for how you occupy them during the reception. I know she’ll be happy and loved on with all our family there, but as a first-time mama I still get a little anxious once her bedtime rolls around. πŸ˜‰ Also, did you bring your entire diaper bag to the reception?! I feel like quite the rookie here! SOS help a girl out in the comments below!!

  1. Your Easter sounds super fun, Katey! Much more eventful than mine – we don’t really celebrate here. πŸ™‚

Oof. Young toddlers do not do well at late receptions. Our 18 mos old was a ring bearer and while he made it down the aisle – I had to quickly run to the front and scoop him out of my husband’s arms (he was best man) as he would have never made it through the ceremony. He did okay at the reception but we left immediately after my husband’s toast and headed to the hotel. You simply cannot enjoy the reception with a toddler. I would recommend Grandma or a babysitter scoop her up after the ceremony if you want to enjoy the reception.

Very, very true!! I’m missing her 6-month-old days where she could just sleep on me in public! πŸ™ That would make it so easy! Thank you girl! xo

My little girl had done pretty well at late night parties. She just turned one and was a champ at a recent event. She stayed up dancing and once she was pooped out I changed her into her jammies and put on some earmuffs (I will email you a link of the one that works great!). She slept in her stroller for the remainder of the night. Bring her favorite stuffed animal to help her get settled.

I have been eyeing that Tory Burch bag for two months now! I think it’s time to bite the bullet and buy it. Hope you have a good week, Katey!
