TGIF, friends! Today I wanted to share some images from the TULA brunch last weekend. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to each and every girl who came. I adored meeting you, your children and your moms!
People always ask, “How do you run a blog daily? What are your tricks for inspiration?“
As cliché as it may sound, I truly get inspiration from readers. I’ve shared before, but I started this blog because when I was diagnosed with Discoid Lupus I spent years on the internet trying to find products to help me. I didn’t want another girl to feel the same way, I wanted her to have a go-to source, Chronicles of Frivolity. I do my best to respond to every message {but I know I fall short!}, however, I read them all and they inspire every post. I make notes in my phone each time a girl is looking for a product I haven’t found so I can research. When brands pitch me for collaborations, I agree when I think of specific readers I have met and the requests they have given me. As I write posts, I think of the community of women that continually support this blog and what their needs are. You all make COF, I do not.
And I have to say, this brunch might have been one of my favorite days with my job. Every single girl was so incredibly kind, thoughtful and genuine. And the moms- y’all, the MOMS! The moms that came need to write a parenting book, their kids were so happy. I was in awe of them.
If you came, thank you so much! I was so thrilled to spend the day with you. I wish I could have a brunch with each and every loyal reader, but I guess we kind of have virtual breakfast each morning as I respond to comments and sip my morning coffee. 😉
Lastly, a huge thank you to TULA. A great privilege of blogging is getting to see the other side of the industry with brands. I’m able to watch what goes on behind the scenes and how brands work to create products for consumers. I catch a snippet of their customer service and I hear a lot about their visions and goals. I don’t want to share personal stories here out of respect to readers, but please just trust me when I say there are so many moments I’m nearly in tears for all that they do for my readers and their customers.
From the moment I started this blog, I always said I wanted COF to feel like a best friend through a blog. I left brunch feeling like I’d had a big party with all my girlfriends and I hope you see that in these images!
Thank you for reading! I hope you have a fabulous Mother’s Day weekend.
Also, be sure to check out Elizabeth’s blog! She is a reader and blogged about the event which was so incredibly sweet!
P.S. I got a lot of DM’s this weekend from girls that couldn’t go asking if my TULA discount code was still valid. Yes, it is! Code “Katey” gets you 20% off.
This brunch looks wonderful! I love all the little details with the place cards and the decorated macaroons. The flowers are lovely too! ‘Thanks for the Friday inspiration for my next brunch!
Happy Friday!
