I’ve never been shy with my fondness for Valentine’s Day! The pinks, the reds, the desserts! What’s not to love? The family I babysat for in college had a little girl that was a Valentine’s baby and so I secretly always wanted a baby on or around Valentine’s Day. It shocked me that it worked out that way, but Maxi was born February 11th and I always say she was the best Valentine I’ve ever received. 😉 We actually came home from the hospital with her on Valentine’s Day and Paul had already ordered roses for me to be delivered that day. He had done it a few weeks before I delivered knowing he didn’t want to forget. So anyway, imagine my surprise coming home with Maxi {mind you, fully exhausted still not able to walk on my own} and I walk to the door and see the florist delivering this outrageously gorgeous arrangement. I thought, “So this is what it is like to be Kate Middleton.” ha.

But in case you don’t get too into the reds and pinks, I wanted to share this black lace top that would work perfectly in jeans or a pencil skirt for the holiday. It fits true to size and can be worn into the summer tucked into shorts for a girls’ night out. I’d definitely wear this for a Galentine’s celebration- do you do something with your girlfriends?! My girlfriends and I are going to get massages and see a movie to enjoy some girl time and celebrate! I received a few messages this week from girls asking about gifts for their girls this Valentine’s Day and below are my recommendations. If a friend of yours has been having a rough patch or season, send her a little basket with a cute candle, her favorite snack and a card letting you know you are thinking of her!

Speaking of girl time, my girlfriend Amy Beth is in town for the weekend! She lives in the Bay Area, so she visits Texas about once or twice a year for some Tex Mex, Maxi time, and shopping! So I’m off to enjoy our weekend! Do you have any fun weekend plans?! Thanks so much for reading!
