Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019 outfits are here! Today cardholder access is live for Icons and Ambassadors and I’m sharing outfit ideas for it all. All other cardholders get to shop 7/12. I wanted to give you as many look options as possible, so my sister and I are doing a SISTER LOOKBOOK this time around! This year’s post is organized in a few different sections. We’re covering work outfits, pieces to wear now & later, fall style, and workout wear. I’m mixing in pieces you’ve seen me style on the blog before so in case you own those items too, you can copy the looks. But ultimately, I just want to show you how to get a lot of longevity in your items and versatility. There’s also a section on what I got for Maxi as well as gift ideas. I shopped for Paul online, so when those pieces come in, I can share via my like to know it app if that is of interest.

I talked about prepping for the sale last week and my sister and I got to shop it on Tuesday. Here’s what we bought and how we are styling it this fall!

Wear Now & Later Looks

These two looks above fall under wear now and later. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is known for having upcoming fall and winter pieces on sale. However, I always like to share how you can style a few looks now. The green sweater above can be worn with cut-off denim if you are somewhere with a more mild temperature in the evening. The MISSONI shawl can be thrown over a tank and shorts or my personal favorite, the Nordstrom Leith dress that everyone loves.

Office Looks

These four looks above are my take on sale pieces to incorporate in your work wardrobe. Depending upon your office dress code, you could wear a few of these pieces! This $41 top pairs beautifully under blazers while a leopard dress is fitting if you work in a more creative field. Just pop a blazer over it with matching booties. I tried to cover a mix of dress codes as some of my friends can wear cropped denim to their office, but I’d also wear some of these looks on the weekend and beyond.

Activewear

These three looks above are what I would wear to workout- or if I’m being honest, grocery shop/#momlife in- ha. This Zella jacket for $58 in the pink is probably one of my top buys of the sale this year. It’s so incredibly cozy. I also love how these $63 sneakers hug my feet. I don’t like leggings that are that slick/shiny feeling. I like my leggings to have more compression in them and these high-waisted ones fit the bill. You can also pair them with sweaters in the fall.

The Weekend Look

This is how my sister and I would style our weekend wear. From brunching with friends to visiting a pumpkin patch in October with Maxi, these are comfortable and casual looks that still have us feeling like the best versions of ourself. My top weekend pick is this satchel which gives designer vibes and my sister recommends this Topshop Jacket which gives a fuzzy texture to the traditional moto jacket.

Movies with Friends

Whenever we go to the movies we need Coke Icees, extra buttery popcorn, and layers! It gets so cold in there. I selected a leopard cardigan that apparently sold out 3 times last year?! It was too cute to pass up and thankfully the NSale is ALL about animal prints this year. My Blank NYC Suede Jacket that I’ve worn for 3+ years is also included in this year’s sale and is my sister’s pick.

Coffee Date

My sister and I are all about the Saturday afternoon coffee date. When Maxi naps, we will try a new coffee shop and it’s our time together. We both loved this Topshop sweater which runs TTS. Pair it with sneakers and jeans for a relaxed style. This just needs a top knot and a good book and we are set for a Saturday afternoon.

Lounging at Home

If you work from home or are home with your kiddos like I am, I love this look to be around the house in. You feel like you are in pajamas but if someone stops by for a play date or you get company, you feel pulled together. This convertible sweater is only $41 and comes in other prints, as well.

Fall Date Night

In the fall, I like to stick to more casual date looks since it’s cooler in the evening. The right pair of boots or mules can dress up a cowl-neck sweater or denim jacket easily. This sweater would even front tuck into a skirt with tights and booties. I think it will be the top buy of the sale! 

SHOES

Personally, I thought the best section of the sale was the shoe department! I bought my first pair of Stuart Weitzman boots during the NSale 6 years ago and have YET to need to buy new boots like that since. I think it’s smart to splurge on shoes during this sale because unlike a trendy sweater, these will stay in your closet for a decade plus some if cared for properly.

WHAT I BOUGHT MAXI

Below is what I bought Maxi for fall! Some of the items I ordered online since all toddler items aren’t in the store. I was so happy to find another sweet teddy bear jacket for this year. Maxi lived in her teddy jacket ALL last year and our go-to leggings for her are on sale for $9.

GIFTS

I also use the NSale to stock our gift closet or repurchase our family’s favorite items. Here’s what you don’t want to skim over!

• A luxury candle is always my gift of choice. When in doubt, get an item people use in their home, but splurge on the brand- you know?! This assortment of gift-size candles gives you 5 candles for $55. Break them up in your gift closet and that is a wonderful price-point for your holiday and birthday gifts. Diptyque is such a luxury candle brand, it will be a gift your girlfriend swoons over.
• This Barefoot Dreams blanket gets SO much love in our home! Maxi sleeps with it. Peaches wants it. I steal it any chance I get. We decided to buy another during the sale since our family always fights over the one we have. It’s the softest, snuggliest blanket you’ll ever try. It also comes in the cutest camo print this sale. Just a heads up, the prints in these blankets usually sell out each year.
