If the Lilly fits, buy it in every print. Right?! 😉 My favorite way to shop Lilly is during their After Party Sale. I’ve blogged it quite a few times in the past as it is a great way to get around 30-80% off colorful additions to your wardrobe. Lilly has this sale twice a year, in January and towards the end of summer. While the January sale is typically smaller in scale {easier for you to get in the virtual waiting line faster!} I personally prefer this sale. For starters, I have a better idea of pieces I’ll wear immediately, and I can prep for our vacations, weddings, or events coming up where I’ll want a Lilly print to match Maxi. You can typically get children’s clothing for 1/2 off so definitely use this opportunity to shop for your little one as well. They grow so fast, so why pay full price?! Items will drop today and tomorrow, so definitely check back here tomorrow if you want to see the new additions. Lilly has this sale down to a tee, and it may be a little different than other sales you have shopped in the past. I have a few notes to make the shopping experience easy and enjoyable.
A FEW THINGS I LIKE TO NOTE ABOUT THE SALE:
- Don’t panic over the virtual waiting line! This is how Lilly keeps their site from crashing during the sale. They have a virtual waiting room when you go shop the sale, but it always moves smoothly. In my experience, the wait is always overestimated. Your number is based on who showed up to the site first, but do not panic. People typically know exactly what they want with blog posts, so in my experience, the wait is really easy. For example, this morning it said my wait was originally 53 minutes. It ended up being 12 minutes. I just made my coffee, made a smoothie, and was in! DO NOT refresh your site to make it go faster, you’ll be placed at the end of the line again. A little trick is you can open the sale on my blog on your computer and on my blog on your phone. Check out first on the laptop, then your phone will probably be through the virtual waiting room as well. You could do your last run-through that way because once you check out on one browser, you are at the end of the line again.
- You’ll have to create an account to shop! So be sure to do that first before you add to cart.
- Items are final sale, so be sure to be mindful of sizing. I always do a size review for Lilly sales because of this so below I’ll share my size in Lilly to help you best estimate! These are my pre-pregnancy sizes to compare and then below in my try-on haul I’ll share the size I have on now.
- Your confirmation e-mail may come a few hours after your order is placed. Don’t panic your order wasn’t counted. This is just due to the volume of people shopping the sale.
SIZING
If you are unsure of your size in Lilly, you can see their perfect fit finder here. I generally find Lilly to run TTS!
MY SIZING FOR HELP WITH COMPARISON:
I’M 5’3″ AND A SIZE 24 OR 25 IN DENIM AND A 34B.
LILLY DRESSES: 0 OR XS
LILLY TOPS: XS
LILLY SWEATERS OR CARDIGANS: S
LILLY SHIFT DRESSES: 00 OR XS
LILLY ROMPERS: XS OR S {I FIND THE “WRAP” ROMPERS TO RUN SHORT AND I GET A S.}
Hollee Dress: Originally $108 | Sale price: $39
This is a classic Lilly style and if you want something you’ll get a ton of wear out of, I’d go this route. I’m wearing a small here and would probably prefer a small if I weren’t pregnant as well. This is a cotton dress meant to be comfortable. You can wear it with your sneakers and a ball cap while grocery shopping, or sandals while out and about. These are great little spring/summer/vacation dresses that are casual and also cute. The price is such a steal for this!
Girls’ Little Lilly Classic Shift Dress: Originally $58 | Sale price: $36
Maxi is now officially a 3T in Lilly which feels crazy to me! She has worn the prints since she was a baby and I can’t believe she looks so much like a little girl now. Is this print not so precious? It’s probably my favorite print I have ever purchased for her. These are on sale for $36 for your little ones which is much more reasonable given they only wear this size for about a year or so. I grabbed the matching dress for me.
Sea View Button Down Top: Originally $108 | Sale price: $44
{These are the hoops I’m wearing}
This may be a little TMI, but for the life of me, I can’t figure out what I’ll wear while nursing a baby in the summer. It SHOULD seem easier, but since I had a winter baby, sweaters and layers is all I know. I got this top and this is the answer. I would normally see a button-down blouse and think, “Absolutely not!” to wearing that in 100-degrees. However, this is probably the lightest garment of clothing I’ve ever worn while being incredible quality. I’d wear this in our heat of summer comfortably. I’m hoping to grab this style in a few more prints to wear on repeat with the little one. It is on sale for $44 and I’m wearing a size small.
A few more finds:
- I have this pink vest that I wear with workout clothing. I wear it in a size XS and it’s an item y’all always ask about on Insta Stories!
- I own this top in white and love to tuck it into shorts in the summer.
- Need a dress for the office? This Portia Shift Dress {on sale for $119} is chic and fits TTS.
- The Lilly metallic silk dresses are what I always gravitate towards for events or weddings. I have owned a few that I’ve blogged over the years and this one is a gorgeous option, as well. It is on sale for $109 and runs a bit large.
- Looking for a dress you can wear now? This sweater dress with over-the-knee boots is a wonderful addition to your winter wardrobe. It is on sale for $69.
- I always love Lilly wraps or sweaters for chilly evenings. This Terri Wrap is on sale for $59 and would be a perfect cover for nursing, too.
- The Elsa Silk Top {pictured below} is always one of my top sale recommendations. I wear this in an XS, and they come in a variety of gorgeous prints. They are on sale for $69.
- The Avalyn Stretch Dress I have on in the photo with my sister is on sale for $54 right now. I love this dress for any showers you have coming up!
I hope you all enjoy the sale and let me know what you get as you stock up!
