There’s something about doing your little girl’s hair. You grow up brushing your doll’s hair, then your own, and now your mini me. It is our time in the morning where she gets to tell me exactly how she wants her hair styled {braids, ponytail, down with a headband} and we chit chat before the rush of the day. She has curly hair and I’ve had quite a few mamas over the past year ask what products we use! I try to keep her hair products as clean as possible, while still finding products that keep her curls in great shape. I wanted to list out what we use if you are in need of products for your girl!
Maxi’s Hair Products
- Cricket Brush: We have used this Cricket brush to detangle since she was itty bitty! It’s one of the only things that doesn’t hurt her hair getting tangles out! She doesn’t like the Wet Brush or anything for tangles, but this causes no tears. 🙂
- Hair Brush: My mom bought me a Mason Pearson brush, goodness, maybe 10 years ago? I’ve always loved it but using it on her curls I L O V E it. It keeps her curls perfectly intact and doesn’t change them even when I brush them out.
- Shampoo & Conditioner: She used the Beautycounter kid’s shampoo & conditioner for ages. We loved it, but they discontinued it! I researched for quite some time online and found this to be just as lovely, if not better. She is in swim lessons right now and it get all the chlorine out while keeping her hair tangle-free.
- Leave-in Conditioner: We used “It’s a 10” on her for a while and it worked great! However, I wanted something with cleaner ingredients and found this detangler that acts as a leave-in conditioner. It helps seal fly aways so it’s perfect for taming a bit of frizz as well.
- Curl Spray: As I went to link her curl spray I’m a bit nervous it is discontinued, so if anyone has anything similar I am all ears! This clean spray from Sephora revives curls without heat. If her any curls would fall after a day or two, I’d just spray and they’d bounce right back.
- Ponytail Holders: These are the ponytail holders I use for her half ponytails and pigtails! They don’t hurt her hair to take them out, which is huge!
Let me know what products you use on your little one’s hair in the comments! I am always looking for great ones to try.
P.S. Say a little prayer for your Texas friends this week! We are in a winter storm- which we are SO not used to. Thankfully we have power {for now} but they are turning it off to conserve. Our pipes are frozen despite dripping faucets, etc. Going to be a COLD crazy week with the kids!
You two are so cuteee! ❤️✨

I’ll have to try some of these products! My daughter has curls at the bottom of her hair like Maxi. Thanks!
