Can you believe gift guides have started?! Paul “accidentally” threw away our Christmas tree while packing. I’m still not sure how you accidentally toss out a 7-foot item, but I think it has something to do with either not wanting to move it or not wanting it. I ordered one this past weekend and started to organize our gift closet and get a few gifts planned out and purchased.
I wanted to start 2017’s gift guide series with my favorite gifts to purchase: gifts for the little ones. I know Maxi will be far more interested in trying to eat wrapping paper than she will be with the gifts but I still am loving every second of planning her first Christmas.
While I certainly can’t speak from a ton of experience, these are things that either Maxi adores or our friends love! I can say for us we always love books, wooden toys [they are the best!], teethers [Maxi is getting her 6th tooth!] and sentimental things. My mom framed my first pair of ballet shoes for Maxi’s room and that was honestly one of the best gifts I have ever received. Vonjet Silhouettes makes the silhouette we have in Maxi’s nursery. This would be a wonderful gift for a new mom or even a grandmother so she can cherish this item forever.
Today I partnered with Vonjet for you to win a silhouette. One winner will win a silhouette of their choice [these are customized to your child] and 4 other winners will receive $50 gift certificates to the shop. To win, head to my instagram later today! I’ll be incorporating a lot of fun giveaways this holiday season to help you with your shopping. Winners will be announced on the following gift guide’s post! Next gift guide will be next Tuesday and the Vonjet winners will be announced then.
Thank you so much for reading!
Buying gifts for the little ones is always the hardest for me, since I don’t have kids of my own! I always get so puzzled over what to get my relatives or friends’ kids. Thank you for this guide, the picks are adorable ❤

Love this and so helpful for our family with our Lo being 8 months at Christmas! Thank you for this. Have you posted another teething makeup bag Maxi has had we are wanting to purchase that it’s such a great gift.
Hi Amanda! Thank you so much! That one sold out! 🙁 but #20 is their updated one! Thank you for reading, I hope you have a wonderful first Christmas with your little one! xo
Where is Maxi’s cookie outfit from? It’s too cute!
Hi Kerri Ann! It is Kickee Pants! xo
omg that lexyplexy wooden teether bag is SO cute!!!
Hello Katey!
I was wondering if you can give me a little advice with regard to baby high chairs 🙂
I have seen on your Snaps and Instastories that Maxi uses a pedestal high chair. Would you recommend it? How do you like it?
Also, I remember that you mentioned your use of the Beaba food maker (I am thinking of getting the Plus version for Christmas). Do you love it? Have you found it to be worth the cost?
Essentially since our sweet baby Ella was born, she has preferred her Rock-n-Play over her Bassinest, her simple bouncer over her Momaroo, any soft surface over her Doc-a-tot, etc. So, I have since been a little reluctant to buy her anything too ‘elaborate’, ha ha 😛
Thanks so much for any help you might offer! I know that you are so busy, but I always turn to and appreciate your tips on the blog and social media 🙂
Blessings,
Crystal
Hi Crystal!
Of course! We LOVE our highchair! It’s super easy to clean and I also love that it swivels. I always move her to either our kitchen island to feed her or I can feed her at the dining table. We definitely love the Beaba food maker! It was a baby shower gift from a friend. Now if you have a high-grade blender you definitely don’t need the Beaba food maker. You can just steam your items and then blend there! However, we didn’t even have a blender up until a week ago and I didn’t splurge on a nice one or anything like that. So this is a life saver! And even if we aren’t steaming her food at this point and she is just eating things chopped up, it’s nice because I can throw in things we made and it blends it for her! I hope this helps!! xo
I’m not sure if you’ll see this, but I’m late night shopping and have SEVERAL first birthdays this year for my gfs! How fun! But I also want to get them gifts they’ll really love and use. I know you’ll do posts about Maxi’s birthday, could you possibly include a small gift section of things you think are unique, USEFUL first birthday gifts?! It would be super helpful 🙂 I’m going to pick up a couple things from this post in the meantime!
