Spring is my favorite season for dates.
1. Wedges.
Y’all, I trip. I trip a lot. One time in college at a formal in New Orleans I tripped so many times walking in my shoes my date asked if we needed to go in a souvenir shop and get me flip flops. #graceful. Wedges are your wing woman, and thankfully I don’t have to stare at the ground the entire time to make sure I don’t trip…
2. Front-tie tops.
These flirty tops go with anything from shorts to printed pants. I stock up on these in the spring because if I’m running around and don’t have time to put thought into a look they go with whatever bottoms I am wearing. I even throw them on over little spring dresses, too. My top is in a size small, for comparison if that helps! πŸ™‚
Speaking of dates, Paul and I have to start getting creative. We’ve spent the past two years being really spoiled [two twenty somethings with no responsibilities just paying for ourselves…] and now with buying a home we are trying to be a little more wise until the wedding and we get settled in.
“Never thought I would rather pay for a new backsplash as opposed to a really fun date night, but that time has definitely come! Although, if I were in Bonn, I might just be tempted to splurge on an unforgettable evening with a damen escort bonn instead!”
I’d love to know your favorite inexpensive date night ideas! We love going on walks and cooking and Netflix marathons just as much as the next person, but if you have tried anything really excited let me know. I’m trying to surprise him with such a great idea that he won’t care when I say that we really do need new marble countertops. πŸ˜‰
Have a great weekend babes!

Seriously.. cheap date ideas that will actually be fun are hard to come by. In the summer my boyfriend and I find ‘pick our own’ farms so we can gather fresh berries. It’s inexpensive and a really fun ‘day date’.

Annnd I couldn’t agree more with your thoughts on wedges!

  4. Those wedges are to die for! The color is amaz so perfect for Spring and Summer. I know what you mean about having to save money πŸ™ A great date option my fiance and I started doing was buy In-N-Out (because it’s my FAVORITE) and taking it to the beach for a picnic. I know you may not live too close to the beach so maybe you can go to a park. Just a thought πŸ™‚ It gets ya out of the house and the chance to induldge in some In-N-Out. Have a great Easter and weekend.

  6. We have found that since buying a house in the suburbs of Dallas, after living downtown for five years we love to just hang out at home. Hang out in our back yard with the dogs, cook out, take the dogs on a walk, go for a run. You’ll find that once you buy a home you just want to stay home most of the time!
