The Texture

A cardinal rule of makeup is that powder is drying and can “age” your look and liquid is youthful. These creamy eyeshadows glide on your lid as smooth as a lotion and don’t crease. The “Shimmer & Glow” colors can be patted into your lid with your ring finger or a brush and I like to apply the “Glitter & Glow” colors on top for a pop using a brush. The shimmers are highly pigmented and a little goes a long way. You can just apply a tiny dot and smoothly blend it out to the rest of your lid. If your lids get dry this time of year, regular eyeshadow can accentuate the texture. A great creamy shadow prevents this from happening! If you’re worried about your eyes maturing, definitely try a liquid eyeshadow look.

The Versatility

I had originally passed these by at Ulta a few times thinking that I didn’t really have a need for glitter eyeshadow. A year ago after seeing some Youtube videos using them, I saw how versatile they were! I’ve actually gone through two of the full-size tubes and purchased this set after loving those so much. The shimmers are great for daily wear {Kitten is my favorite!} and then I’ll pat the glitters in my inner lid for added dimension in the evenings. These photos feature “Kitten” with “Smoky Storm” all over the lid to show you how it can even be worn in the day. I just blend the glitter out with a brush, but if you wanted to create an intense glitter look for NYE, you could press it into your lid with your ring finger!
