Well, clearly, I was too excited to even rinse my spray tan off before I shot this little haul! Evidence above. 😉 I mean, what can I say?! I miss romper weather! Today’s post is something I’ve been looking forward to because it is the launch of Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Resort Collection! Gibson is a brand I’ve loved to shop at Nordstrom for quite some time- and so have y’all. This was actually the top y’all bought THE most off the blog in 2017. See here! I also had it in pink! Gibson takes everyday and workwear elevated basics and makes them more personalized. A ruffle hem here, a waist tie there, a palm print or two! You get the idea. This tank is Gibson and so is this holiday green top I blogged.

They partnered with my friend Cassie last year to launch a collection and this year they launched resort wear with her! All the Southern girls said, “Amen!” This is our uniform for what feels like 9 months out of the entire year! Being a blogger, I got to shop and try this line a week or two early, so today I’m showing you the 5 pieces I got. This collection is all under $80 and the fit is incredible. It’s meant to serve as a spring to summer capsule wardrobe, so you just pack sandals and a bikini with it all. Each item is made in a multitude of colors and prints so you can find the personal one you like best with your style. I will do a little try-on haul on my stories today and one thing I can’t get over is the fit and quality for the price. Well-made pieces are to be expected with Gibson- but with resort wear, you still never know! They truly nailed the balance between comfortable looks for intense humidity and longevity in wear.

Palm Springs Festival Maxi $69

First up is this maxi dress I am 100% packing for our beach vacation this year! This print is the “Birds of Paradise” print, and the fit is so amazing I’m going to be purchasing the black and pink/green fern today as well. Not only does this hit at the ankles so I don’t trip {I’m 5’3″} you can also comfortably wear a strapless bra with this dress! One of my biggest pet peeves with maxi dresses is the fact that your bra shows and then my thought is, “Okay, can you only wear a bikini top with this?!” I love that my strapless bra doesn’t show, so I can rock this to dinner on vacation or date night in June. Savannah Embroidered Yoke Tee $59

Nothing quite like an embroidered tee in the summer to dress up your go-to top with shorts! I got this tee in black to tuck into denim cut-off shorts and these drawstring shorts. It’s very soft, so if you are a mom of little ones and need something that allows you to chase, carry, and play-  this is perfect. But from afar, the embroidery almost makes it look a bit dressier, I’d dare say like a linen top! I’m wearing size XS. Shop it here.

Cabo Drawstring Shorts $44

If you go to the pool, you will want these shorts. If you grocery shop on July 2nd and think you’re going to sweat to your death in the parking lot, you will want these shorts. If your friends beg you to eat on a patio August 3rd and you’re like, “IT IS 98 DEGREES!”, you will want these shorts. They come in black and chambray {I grabbed black to match the embroidered tee!} and I’m convinced I could wear these to Disney World mid-June and feel like my skin can breathe. They are light, but have a really cute ruffle at the waist, which makes these look dressier than they are! I’m wearing a size XS. Shop them here.

Catalina Ruffle Hem Romper $69

I think this might be my favorite piece of the entire collection! Palm print or banana leaf isn’t going away anytime soon- remember my post here? It’s a print that sells out year-over-year come April, so I’m excited to see this launch in January! The ruffle detail on the arm and leg is something I don’t have in this print and allows this to work from day to night. You can wear with slides to lunch or with wedges for dinner and not need to change any part of your look. I definitely would recommend getting this in black as well if you have any bachelorette parties coming up. I’m wearing a size XS. Shop it here. Santa Fe Rickrack Off the Shoulder Top $59

This top is one you could pack in your suitcase and wear at least 4 ways on vacation! I’d wear it with flare-leg white denim, tucked into a jean skirt, tucked in the draw-string shorts, and even under a pair of overalls for a summer take. It’s very breathable so I immediately think Florida beach while wearing it! I’m wearing the black with white trim and will order it in pink as well! I’m wearing the size XS but may get a S to tuck in a jean skirt, so keep that in mind while ordering. Shop it here.
