Paul and I are headed to Scottsdale in two weeks on a little weekend getaway for my birthday! I am so excited to escape thirty degrees, sleep in, and read a book or two. Scottsdale is one of my very favorite places I have ever visited and so naturally, it feels like quite the treat for my birthday.
I’ve purchased a few things for the trip and wanted to share some spring additions I adore if you are headed somewhere for spring break.
A Few Notes:
Tan Drops // If you haven’t tried these Clarins drops, spring is the perfect time. You just mix a drop or two {or three if you are spray tanned} in with your daily face moisturizer, apply sunscreen after, and watch your tan develope. It gives your face the nicest glow without clogging pores and you don’t have to deal with the whole spray tan and rinse off situation. These can be used daily or every other day, just dependent upon how often you use them. I apply them about every time I do my makeup {roughly 4 times a week} and a bottle will last me a solid 4 months- sometimes 5 or 6. I had to add these drops because if you are going somewhere for some sunshine, this will give your face a naturally bronzed glow and you can control the amount with the number of drops. People won’t ask you, “Did you get a spray tan?” Instead, if I apply the drops in the morning, readers will ask why my skin looks so good and if I got a facial or something!
Vacay Sweater // I recently ordered this vacay sweater and it just came in the mail yesterday! I got a size small and will wear it all spring and summer long. For vacation, I think it’s the cutest travel sweater and then can be thrown on over leggings while you run to grab your morning coffee. Toss it on with jeans while you enjoy lunch or pair with white flare denim and wedges for a patio dinner.
Shoes // I have a feeling these espadrilles and these slip-on sandals will sell out before the weather even warms up. They are a nod to designer ones that were very popular last season, but these are both under $100! The slip-on sandals are perfect with cut-off shorts and then the espadrilles pair beautifully with a little summer sundress.
Soft Makeup // Charlotte Tilbury took her ultra-flattering Pillow Talk lipstick {famous for looking perfect on any girl!} and turned it into an eyeshadow palette. I ordered it and have been obsessed with how it blends. It gives you an eye look of, “I just got my makeup done” in the best possible way! Not overdone, yet not too simple.
Here are some spring additions for vacation that are under $100!
Are you traveling anywhere this spring?!

I love the espadrilles and sam edelman sandals! Thanks for the recommendations!
Thought the same thing about the espadrilles that they had to be the Chloe ones. I was so excited to see they were under $100 I instantly bought! Thanks for the reccos! Would love in an upcoming post to see some spring dresses with long sleeves. (To wear with my new shoes! ❤️) arms are always one of my least fav things to show off so long sleeve mini dresses are my fav!
Can’t wait to see how you style the shorts! Might have to snag them myself!
My husband and I are spending a week in Scottsdale the first week of April. ~Would love a post on your favorite things to do while there!!
Happy Birthday!
