Why You Want to Shop Kendra Scott Today

The Details

It’s no secret I GEEK out over Kendra Scott. I’ve written about it time and time again on COF, but she is just the epitome of a girls’ girl. At our event this week, she was so proud to share that 96% of women make up her company- but she whispered she thinks the new number is 98%! She also went on to express how a large portion of those employees are mothers and she feels so grateful to be part of women’s stories when they want to have incredible careers all while being incredible mothers.

She talks the talk, but it is so evident she walks the walk. She treated each person that met her like THEY were Kendra Scott. She thanked them for wearing her jewelry. She listened so intently to what you were saying, you somehow thought she already knows you and knows you well. She just exudes humility and kindness. A girl actually told me that I have to listen to the Kendra Scott podcast interview on Second Life Pod, so that is next on my list!

So why am I talking about someone I just adore?! Because today is an extremely important day to shop Kendra Scott and I hope my passion for this cause can be clearly depicted amongst my words.

Today, May 5th, in anticipation of Mother’s Day, 100% of proceeds from the Mothers & Families philanthropic charm in stores and online will go back to Ronald McDonald House Charities. Not only does this charm’s proceeds go to RMHC today, but 20% of all proceeds from sales today {in store and online} also go there. All stores will participate in a national Kendra Gives Back event with 20% of proceeds going back to RMHC.

While most of us are familiar with RMHC, I think it’s worth noting their mission. They help provide stability and resources for families by creating and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. They are in dozens upon dozens of countries and regions. They keep families with sick children together and near the care and resources they need. You can see more of the impact they make here.

The Mothers & Families charm is $25 and comes in gold, rose gold, vintage silver, and vintage gold. You can add it to your Kendra Scott charm bracelet like I did or a necklace. This charm allows a gift to be a vehicle for a philanthropic message. If you want a little more charm bracelet inspiration, read my blog post here.

I’ll never forget the day I received my charm! It was October 30th back in the fall. I was running around prepping for a media brunch I was hosting and decided to pop in Kendra Scott to browse sans Maxi. I had 20 minutes before I picked her up from MDO and it’s *quite* the activity to take my toddler into a jewelry store OR a makeup store. She’d rather play with bracelets and makeup brushes than toys…

As I’m browsing for my charm bracelet, I told the sales associate I appreciated that the store was always so kind when I brought Maxi in. You know how it is sometimes. Your toddler can be behaving, but you still get a bit of side-eye when you take them shopping every now and again. I told the sales associate that I always felt relieved because at Kendra Scott, employees offer Maxi goldfish and let her look at beads without making me feel guilty for taking her in. She was so kind and said how they love to see kids in the store with their families.

As I’m going to pay for my candle and charm, they come back and hand me a box. They said, “Here’s a little something for being a mom.”

I was stunned and opened the bag in the car to find this Mothers & Families charm. What a precious moment to have! And y’all, this is not a one-time moment with the brand. When I talked about my event, I received countless comments, direct messages, AND e-mails from readers sharing a moment when a Kendra Scott employee blessed them.  I mean just read these comments!

On Tuesday night, I told Kendra about the charm story. She smiled and told me how she thinks shopping should be a family activity with your mom, sisters, husband, or children. It’s about creating experiences and memories, not just building collections. I told y’all, she is GOLD.

So after brunch pop into Kendra Scott or browse on your laptop in bed with your pups! I love being a Kendra Scott ambassador because philanthropy is a huge pillar of their business. I will be shopping Kendra Scott today to support families when they need it most! Will you be joining me?

Have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
