Hi friends and TGIF! If you didn’t know, today is the day that the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the public at 11:30 Central. You don’t have to be a cardholder or use your Nordstrom card to shop it. Use your debit card. Your gift cards. Whatever you fancy! While many things have gone in and out of stock, I wanted to take today to share a few things I ordered online that just came in as well as some new picks. Tomorrow we are headed to Dallas to lay by the pool at one of our favorite hotels and celebrate Paul’s birthday. I started reading The Goldfinch last night and woke up with my nose in the book. I hope to finish Where The Crawdads Sing and get a bit further in my new read this weekend. Have you read The Goldfinch?!
Camo Raincoat {wearing xs}
I adore this raincoat I ordered for fall! I think it will be the perfect “everyday” coat to dress down with my mom attire as pictured above. I’m not sure if the camo is coming back in stock, but check it out in other colors here!
I bought a similar fleece pullover last year during the sale and they are still in style for this year, too! Shop the new ones above.
I had had these area rugs on mood boards for YEARS- I’m talking when Maxi was a newborn. When I saw they were on sale I ordered this one above for my office and some for our master bath I’ll share below. If you love the look of vintage rugs, you will love these. They are also incredibly soft, so wonderful if you have little ones crawling around.
Popcorn Sweater {wearing s}
If you want a cropped sweater to wear with shorts come fall, this popcorn sweater by Free People works so well for that! Free People can run a bit large, but I think this style of top runs TTS.
This is actually my second bottle of this body oil, I’ve loved it so much. I use this in the summers like I would have used a shimmer pouf in 2010. You remember those?! You got them at Victoria Secret or Claire’s. Put a little of this on your arms or legs and it’s the most subtle shimmer and makes your skin look moisturized and dewy- without being greasy. It dries down quickly, which is nice in the summer. The sale has a set of 2!
Sweater {size small} | Bag | Hat
Animal print is major this NSale, and so I had to grab this cozy sweater. It’s sold out {it may be restocked?!} BUT my satchel is still in stock! The suede reminded me of a YSL bag my girlfriend, Laura, had!
Coat {wearing xs}
I had my eye on this coat prior to the sale launching and then got it with a Nordstorm Note after my first purchase. It is so unbelievably soft and comes in a cream or walnut hue. Size down as it runs a bit generous.
*A funny note about this look. My mom came over for lunch when I had this coat on to take a photo. My mom looked at me and said, “Katey, why on earth would you wear a coat right now?” And to think I thought she knew what I was doing being a blogger’s mama! ha!”
Here is the sea foam rug I got for our bathroom to use as mats by our sink! I had wanted a similar version that was $200+ each and couldn’t justify that for a bathroom rug. These are the 2×3 size!
Another look! Here are my shoes.
Sweater {wearing size S}
This chunky knit sweater was one of y’alls favorite items from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so far and I agree! It’s $35 and has the texture of a sweater far more expensive. I also think the green is a nice break from typical neutrals in the fall.
Jacket {wearing xs}
This jacket is my FAVORITE NSale buy! It feels like a Barefoot Dreams blanket but in a rose-colored jacket. Size down as it runs generously.
This is quite the throwback photo- or feels like it. Do you remember these lace dresses that everyone adores come spring?! They are part of the sale for $58!
Gibson makes the softest joggers– I’m actually wearing them right now as I type this. They are part of the sale for $28 and hold up great to washing and drying. I have had mine for over a year and they still look and feel brand new.
Top Ten
I pulled your top ten most loved pieces from the NSale this year so you can help rank and narrow down your shopping cart.
- Ugg Slippers: These are out of stock right now, but fingers are crossed for a restock. I always buy Ugg Slippers each sale to either gift my mom for her birthday or treat myself. This coral hue is so different and adds a nice pop with my neutral “at home” outfits like the joggers above.
- Glopro Kit: As seen in this review, you all know how much I rave about the Glopro. It is a beauty tool that doesn’t need fancy serums or powerful potions to work. You help promote cellular turnover for healing whether that be with wrinkles, acne scarring or texture. This can even be used on your body to give your skin a healthy look. If you are pregnant or nursing and can’t use many products, you can still use this!
- Suede Boots: I’ll share a photo of these boots below, but they are the perfect length if you are styling them with jeans or a mini skirt. I will wear these on repeat all fall and winter because not only is the heel flattering, it’s unbelievably comfortable.
- Black Sneakers: This is the item I’ve been using the most frequently from my NSale purchases. I have worn them on walks all around the neighborhood, errands, and for a cardio dance class. They feel unbelievably comfortable and didn’t need to be broken in. A lot of my other sneakers have to be broken in and give me a week period of blisters, but these do not!
- Diptyque Candle Set: Calling all girls stocking their gift closet: I’m actually shocked this is still in stock since it is such a good deal. Break up the set to use them for Christmas and holiday gifts. I always say, “When in doubt, get an item someone uses daily, but a luxe version.” And who doesn’t love a luxe candle?!
- Leopard Sneakers: You can see these worn in the sister lookbook here. My sister got these in her regular size.
- Striped Sweater: We also styled this sweater with our own spin and it’s going to be such a good option for casual days. I love that the pop of subtle pink breaks up the neutrals.
- Suede Satchel: I show this satchel above, and it’s still fully stocked! Get your “YSL” look for less with this!
- Spanx Leggings: I live in Spanx leggings come fall and you can’t pass up this deal for $64! I take a size small in these leggings.
- Snake Sweater: I share this sweater in this post, but it’s the best thing to pair with your Spanx leggings! It also comes in other patterns if the snake print isn’t your thing!
Other Picks
Here are five things I have yet to share- but worth a mention! From my favorite strapless bra to the best summer pajamas, scroll through to see what I think is gold.

In love with the popcorn sweater from Free People! Super cute! ❤️✨
