My Sister’s 21st Birthday

Yeehaw, y’all- my site is back up! You may have noticed my site was down yesterday {when this post was promised} but y’all broke the site with stocking stuffer gift guide traffic! haha. I truly view this blog as a baby and so when something happens to it, I feel ALL the things.

But it’s a new day and a new post, so let’s get to it. Last Friday we celebrated Aunt Kiki {Maxi’s name for Kirsten} turning 21. She had originally wanted a progressive dinner situation where we would start with appetizers and light bites at my house and then dinner at a fun restaurant. But there was some confusion with the restaurant and they were going to seat the girls outside with no heaters in 42 degrees and I said, “NONSENSE! Pizza at my house it is!” This ended up being perfect because the girls all got to sit and chat. They came over at 5 and were still chatting up a storm with Maxi at 10 p.m. Maxi girl had the TIME of her life with all the big girls to play Barbies with her and she got to dig into cake after everyone had a slice.

We did a “Yeehaw” theme which is a little joke from my sister at school and I thought that was the perfect theme for this Texas gal’s birthday. We did a FABULOUS spread from My Sweet Roots– FW/Dallas girls she delivers the ultimate cheese boards. She’s also a personal chef and the girls devoured the entire board. Pizza, cowgirl hat cookies, and our favorite cake from Hurley House. The chocolate peanut butter cake tastes EXACTLY like a Reese’s.

I’ve sourced all the decor items under the details, so if you want to use any of these pieces for a party hopefully that helps.

I’m so happy to share these photos with you all as celebrating my sister is my absolute favorite thing to do! She is such a gem.
