 Friday Paul and I got to play hooky! He was off in between an audit and we spent the day going on a walk and stopping by a few of our local favorites. If you’ve never been to Fort Worth, you have to go to Joe T. Garcia’s. There is no other place like it! The best margaritas and atmosphere you will ever experience!

We went to dinner with a few friends there and I wore this off-the-shoulder top from Express. Express is pretty TTS, but this top is a bit larger! However, I like the loose fit because I know come summer I’ll pair it with shorts and I wouldn’t want this style of top to be fitted then.

The pants I have on are actually skinny jeans, but I cuffed them off to pair with my new flatforms!

We spent the rest of the weekend celebrating my mom’s best friend, Ruthie, for her 50th birthday. My mom and Ruthie met at church 26 years ago and have been sisters every since. They had kids together, we all vacation as one big family together and I view her as a mother as well. It was such a cool feeling to know that the friends Paul and I make right now could potentially be in our children’s lives 26 years from now. It gives a whole new meaning to the company you keep and I’m so thankful my parents made such amazing friends as newlyweds. Ruthie truly does everything for me much like a mom from teaching me to cook to teaching me to ski.
